Our History
Visions Unlimited, Inc. was established in 1982 by Edwina Leon, an educator in the School of Social Work at California State University, Sacramento. Mrs. Leon recognized the need for mental health and support services for the ethnically diverse communities of Sacramento County and dedicated her life to providing culturally sensitive services to this population.
She was especially committed to supporting families and designed the agency to serve children and families as well as adults. Her legacy endures as the agency grows and continues to serve the communities south of Fruitridge and Jackson Road all the way to the county lines to the east, west, and south.
Our Mission
To improve quality of life of members and families we serve through the delivery of quality, comprehensive, mental health and support services.
